SBTRKT - Pharoahs
The main concept for the video was to create a multifaceted performance area that would completely encompass every movement and gesture delivered by roses. The performance needed to feel intimate so tight compositions became the focal point when working with disguise and how roses transformed throughout the track.
After speaking with Sbtrkt it was clear that he wanted to work within an area that would compliment his Album art work. Im a big fan of photographic portrait compositions so I wanted to build a set up/camera rig that could cover roses performance from all angles. The 8 camera rig meant that we could cut around roses in 45 degrees increments, it was a nod towards bullet time but in a much simpler low fi style.
